IT support for an agency your size
Most home health agencies do not have an IT department, and should not need one. We provide the help desk, the maintenance and the documentation, and we answer when something stops working.
The whole job of an in-house IT person, shared
Twelve things an agency usually needs from IT, covered by one team that knows your systems.
Help desk
Remote support for the day-to-day: logins, email, printers, the EMR, the phone. One place to ask, and a record of every request.
Devices, managed
Laptops and phones set up the same way every time: encrypted, patched automatically, and removable remotely if lost.
Onboarding and offboarding
A checklist per role, generated from your roster, so a new hire is productive on day one and a departing employee loses access the same day.
Backup and recovery
Mail, files and key systems backed up, with restore tests and a recovery time you can state out loud.
Patching and monitoring
Updates applied on a schedule, with a weekly check that everything really ran, so a quiet week means success.
Network, Wi-Fi and phones
A segmented network, guest Wi-Fi that cannot see the office, and Teams phone numbers, menus and queues.
Vendor liaison
We talk to the EMR vendor, the internet provider and the phone carrier, so you do not have to explain your own network to each of them.
Documentation
Network map, asset inventory and runbooks, kept current. If we vanish tomorrow, someone else can take over.
Always-on monitoring
Monitoring runs around the clock on devices, servers and the network, so a failing disk or a full backup is found by us before it is found by you. People respond during agreed hours, with after-hours escalation by arrangement.
New offices and moves
Opening a branch or moving suites: internet, firewall, Wi-Fi, phones, printers and device setup planned in advance, so the first day in the new space is a normal working day.
Procurement and licensing
Quotes for laptops, phones and licenses, and a check on what you already pay for. We tell you when you are overpaying or buying something you do not need.
Security basics included
Multi-factor sign-in, patching, endpoint protection and backups are part of the baseline, not an upsell. The deeper work lives on our cybersecurity page.
Boring, documented, and secure
- Everything is a ticket, so there is a record, and nothing depends on one person’s memory.
- Least-privilege administration. Our own admin access is separate, multi-factor protected, and logged.
- No passwords by email, in either direction.
- Changes are written down before and after, with a way back.
- A monthly review in plain language: what we fixed, what is aging, and what you should budget for.
Ways to work together
Project
A defined job: a migration, a firewall, a new office, a cleanup.
Retainer
A steady monthly arrangement: help desk, maintenance and the monthly review.
On call
Pay as you go, for agencies with their own IT person who need backup or a second opinion.
Response expectations and hours are agreed in writing. We do not publish a rate card, because the right arrangement depends on your size and your systems.
Managed IT FAQ
Can you work alongside the IT person we already have?
Yes. Many agencies have one person who does everything. We can take security, patching, or after-hours cover off their plate, or act as the second opinion they never had.
Do you support our EMR?
We support everything around it: the computers, the logins, the network, the integrations and the exports. The software itself stays with its vendor, and we handle the conversation with them.
Are you on site?
Mostly remote, with on-site visits for installations, firewalls, training and anything that needs hands. We serve agencies throughout California.
